If you like living large, then the 8inch HD system is for you! This system is designed to clear 37inch tall tires for the HD owner that demands attention and performance. The 8inch system boasts the same features as the 6inch HD system but with more lift and super trick replacement upper tubular control arms. The new upper control arms feature integrated multiple shock mounting tabs should you desire the optional dual shock system, for the ultimate in dampening capabilities. Rear lift is accomplished via a 4inch block and add-a-leaf system with rear bump stop brackets. Please note that this system is not for everyone and requires exhaust and front driveshaft modifications.

Fabtech suspension systems can be installed by the do-it-yourself mechanic. All necessary hardware and complete instructions are included. However, what will be required by the do-it-yourselfer is time and strength. The parts can be heavy. The procedures are sometimes awkward and require special tools. And the fasteners (nuts and bolts) may be very tight. Also, as with installing any new suspension component, you will typically find related parts that are worn and need replacing (i.e. tie-rod ends). To do a good job, be prepared to take your time, so while you are there, you can give the entire suspension/chassis a once over. (Don't forget to have a first class wheel alignment done when you are finished.)
