Description
Lift is accomplished via one-piece cast drop down steering knuckles attaching to heavy-duty 1/4inch thick, high arched lower control arm crossmembers. Fabtech's combination of steering knuckles and high arched crossmembers provides superior ground clearance for the true offroader. The front differential is relocated with a cradle style brackett using bushings at just the proper angle to allow the use of the factory front driveshaft, without vibration on Autotrac models. Solid steel billet sway bar end links with urethane bushings retain the factory front sway bar angle. The stock upper control arms and steering centerlink are retained in the factory posistion and do not have to be removed for installation. The front suspension is completed with crossmember impact struts and torsion bar drop down brackets. Rear lift is accomplished with a 4inch block kit and 2inch add-a-leaf kit on 6inch systems and with a block kit on 4inch systems.

Fabtech suspension systems can be installed by the do-it-yourself mechanic. All necessary hardware and complete instructions are included. However, what will be required by the do-it-yourselfer is time and strength. The parts can be heavy. The procedures are sometimes awkward and require special tools. And the fasteners (nuts and bolts) may be very tight. Also, as with installing any new suspension component, you will typically find related parts that are worn and need replacing (i.e. tie-rod ends). To do a good job, be prepared to take your time, so while you are there, you can give the entire suspension/chassis a once over. (Don't forget to have a first class wheel alignment done when you are finished.)
